As part of preparations for campaigning for the position of senator for the Southern Borno Senatorial district, Satumari Milnda Kudla, who is popularly known as Haske, spent over two weeks on a familiarization tour of communities in Southern Borno.

During the tour, which began from the 5^th of April 2017, he spent time to engage with the people to gain better understanding of the issues they are facing. In order to achieve this, he spoke to different groups in the communities. He had one on one discussion with the elderly, the youths and the women groups to get a deeper understanding of the issues their community face and the particular ways it affects them.

Haske believes that understanding the challenges the people are grappling with through such meetings is necessary if he is to represent them effectively. Some of the communities where he met with the people include Chibok, Gwoza, Lassa and Uba. This is one of many tours he plans to make to the communities in Southern Borno.

The people in the communities were very welcoming knowing his reputation as a man of integrity who keeps any promise he makes. For to them, they will finally be represented by a man who truly cared about them and their community.
